In addition to a wide range of stock flow sensors, Titan Enterprises develop flow meters for specific applications – in this case, refrigerant flow sensors. A new, high pressure version of the Titan 900 Series turbine flow meter is now available for measuring refrigerant flow. The new refrigerant flow sensors are adapted with steel and reinforced polymer components, to give a pressure rating of 40 Bar. The low inertia turbines of the 900 Series flow meter are ideal for measuring the low viscosities (0.3 to 0.4 centipoises) encountered with volatile refrigerant fluids measured in the liquid form. With careful flow sensor selection the pressure drop through the 900 Series turbine flow meter has been designed to be low enough to prevent gas break-out and ensure reliable flow measurement. This makes the new version of the 900 series flow sensors ideal for refrigerant flow measurement.
Refrigerant Flow Sensors – Based on Proven Flow Measurement Technology
Titan’s refrigerant flow meters are based on the the standard 900 series turbine flow sensors, which are designed to give high performance and competitive pricing with 6 flow ranges from 0.05 to 15 L/min. The choice of body materials makes this the ideal choice for the metering of aggressive chemicals, including ultra-pure water. The standard inlet is ¼“ BSPF although for OEM use alternatives are available. The bearings are made of sapphire for long life and reliability, the body is either PVDF or 316 stainless steel and as standard the ‘O’ ring seal is Viton™.
