The innovative Pelton wheel based
flowmeter, using high-tech engineering
plastics, launched by Titan Enterprises
years ago in Eureka, continues to be the
cost, wide flow range plastic flowmeter
clean liquid flows up to 10 litres/min.
Now approaching a total sales volume
250,000 units, Titan has continued to develop
800 Series flowmeters, which are typically
supplied via engineering catalogues to
laboratories, and to OEMs for drinks blending
vending machines.
While continuing to drive down
manufacturing costs, Titan has taken

advantage of developing technology. The latest
model, for example, has added integral
electronics, with a digital LED flow rate
indicator and totaliser. With a typical 20:1 flow
range, within flow rates from 50ml/min to
10 litres/min, the unit is fully configurable with
intelligent programming prompts.
The product exceeds the specification of the
traditional variable area flowmeter, and it has
an in-built totaliser and a pulse output for
remote monitoring and recording.
Titan has other developments in the
pipeline, including a unique, obstructionless
ultrasonic flowmeter for small bore pipes.
